Career Opportunities - Java Software Engineer (J2EE)

Responsibilities:
- Code on a daily basis. Areas of development include cutting-edge Java technologies such as Apache Struts, Apache Axis, Apache ServiceMix (ESB), Hibernate, Spring, and lots more.
- Participate in the technical architecture, functional requirements, and technical specifications of products and projects.
- Throw exciting & random ideas around the team.
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining quality on the software.
(Senior position):
- Lead and develop on one or more software product or project.
- Work with product & project managers to ensure that requirements are fulfilled.
- Making decisions on the best technical approach for the team to fulfill business/user requirements with a fair balance of performance, reliability & scalability.
(Intermediate/Entry-level):
- Application development with 1 or more software engineers in a team. Projects may be complete-new or enhancements to existing systems.
- Perform walkthrough, diagnosis and changes to existing code-base when escalated by the support team on live systems.
- Provide post implementation support.
Requirements:
- Talent, skill & passion in area of software development.
- Self starter & fast learner.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in coding enterprise scale Java .
- Knowledge in J2EE frameworks (preferably Struts), persistence layers (Hibernate, Torque), Apache Tomcat/JBOSS, Apache HTTPD, CVS/Subversion, …
- Knowledge in SOA-related technologies such as XML standards, SOAP and web services.
- Fluent in English for both verbal and written.
Optional plus points:
- Knowledge in cutting edge JAVA technologies such as Axis, ServiceMix, Spring, etc.
- RDBMS knowledge (SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
